17 or 18" steel or cheap alloy wheels to fit '08 e92 330d
I want to fit sensible winter tyres on the rear; does anyone know where I can get hold of two of the above?
The local (Aberdeen) breakers have some 16" alloys at £65 each, but I think they might foul the brake calipers - the minimum size listed by BMW for the current 3 series is 17". Any advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks, Jon D. |

Yes, 17" is the minimum size.

I think you might be struggling to find a steel 17'' wheel with the right offsets for a E9x.
Loads of BMW breakers offering 17'' alloys x4 for under £300 as most people want to upgrade to 18''++. I'd go for a set of four with winter tyres all round. A new front bumper plus repaint would cost you over £600 if you stuffed it. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=bmw+breakers+uk |

Steel!! How dare you!!
17" se alloys should do you. There was a set on ebay that were a bit scuffed for £250 I think.

£365 the lot, including tyres, which are virtually new. They are rfts but should do you fine for winter. Taken from a e90 300i se. Pickup only. PM us if interested, or anyone else for that matter. |
