BT Scanner in Central IL?

Anyone know of a shop with a BT scanner in Central IL, or have a BT Scanner they'd be willing to hook up for five minutes?

My rain sensor needs to be recalibrated and the dealership still swears they have no way to do this.

Automatic wipers are annoyingly slow after windscreen replacement.

You realize that the little switch on the stalk that controls the wipers controls the speed, right? It is closer to the column than the switch on the end that turns the rain sensor on. It is a bit tricky to adjust, IMHO, but has a fairly obvious effect.

Yes, I am well acquainted with that function.

After windscreen replacement, the highest speed is now similar to what the slowest speed used to be with the old windshield. At anything more than a drizzle, it is far too slow.

The dealership claims ignorance of any way to adjust said speed.

The BT tool has a reset option that forces the computer to do a calibration.

Variations in glass transparency affects the sensor's output, so new windscreen allows the opportunity for the rain sensor to no longer accurately detect the weather.

After changing a windshield, the rain sensor was too slow even at the highest setting. Fortunately my dealership was able to recalibrate it so that the wipers now work well at a middle sensitivity setting. I can't believe your dealership doesn't know how to do this basic reset.

Unfortunately I can't help ya with the scanner, but it's nice to see another 1er on the forum that's actually close to me. I used to work up in Peoria up until fairly recently, now I'm in Bloomington. Did you buy your car from BMW of Peoria?
