good price for 07 e93?
looked at a black/black e93 2007 reg last week. 320i 6 speed, private sale, had 18k on the clock, 19s, heated seats etc, but no BT (which was annoying), can get it for £19500
Seems like a good price, similar ones going for 23k at dealers To buy or not to buy...? Marty |

not a bad price, but have you seen the 320i problem thread, being a 2007 I'm pretty sure the warranty will be up soon, worth checking this out.

I'd try and do some research, see if the car's had any work done previously at the dealers. If it has warranty left & you're going to extend it that'll help, although I personally wouldn't recommend the 320i, I'm on my second, and I'm still not convinced - don't want to put a downer on it, give it a drive and see how she goes, I'd hate you to be dissapointed though if you start having problems with her.
Might be worth having a read through the 320i thread and notice how recent some of the problems still are.

cheers, i will take a look later on. Thing is the car is the other end of the country so a bit awkward. Drove 2 320's local and like them. My last car was a 320 e46 convertible (6 cylinder) and I notice a difference going down to a 4 cyl, but seems Ok for me.

i would get a 57 or higher (ED engines). Also the e93 are very heavy cars so im not sure 320i has enough power.
Depending on 'bmw330dcov' id prob go for his if the price is right. |

I wish that I had bought a diesel instead of my 320i. I have not had any of the problems experienced by other members but the diesels are soo much nicer to drive. You should test drive a petrol and a diesel one after the other. I really wish that I had!

Hi
I had a June 2007 320i E93 and like alot of people on the "320i Problems" thread had no end of problems, eventually got BMW to buy it back and swopped to a 320d. I too had an E46 6 Cyl 320i which had a great engine and was unfortunately pursuaded by the alleged higher mpg in the new 4 cyl E93, but it was exactly the same mpg - 29!! The 320d did not come out til mid 2008 in E93 guise as far as I remember however, but is 1000% better, much better low and mid range performance, no noisier, and a consistant 44mpg. I bailed out from the 320i problems about 18 months ago, at that time BMW were promising all the problems would be sorted by an upcoming software upgrade. I waited for it, car was booked in, then they cancelled saying it made matters worse, I blew a fuse and contacted BMW direct. To cut a long long long story short, with the help of my dealer and some members on here got new 2009 320d E93 in March this year. Seeing the 320i problems are still ongoing just confirms my choice to swop, I am now a diesel convert. Personally, even if you get an extended warranty, I would avoid the hassle and get a different engine. The E93 is fantastic just not the 320i version Imho. |

The price of my E93 is good IMHO - you cant really go wrong with a 3 litre diesel still under warranty

True, i think if you can afford to hold out til summer time, you would def be able to sell it without much loss (comparted to now anyway?).
Whats the mpg like for your car? I had the choice between a 330d or a 330i (luckily i found them with the exact same spec, milege and price) but i opted for the petrol because of the sound and i do mostly town driving. But mpg for my car is baaaad. BMW states it should do 36 average....like f***, i get around 20 - 25 at best! |

To be honest I test drove a 320i m sport e93 when I started looking at the e9x cars a couple of years back and it was completely gutless - you had to thrash the knackers off it, there was never any real power surge to speak of, and driving it like that would have delivered bloody awful mpg - in the end I had a 325i m sport e93 which was just about powerful enough, but it's a damn heavy car so beware the lack of power. Just my word of warning, but I do like to drive quite fast even though living in London! J
