Tried and Proven Way for Cleaning Wheels

After six months of experience here's what I've found to be the absolute #1 best way to clean my brake-dust plaqued wheels:

1. Apply a very thick layer of WheelWax once every six months.
2. Dampen a Microfiber cloth in Zaino Z6 and wipe wheels clean (to clean the back area behind the spokes, pick up two foam handmits from Autogeek.net).
3. Dry with another Microfiber cloth.

Enjoy your sparkling clean wheels.

I see you are a Zaino user. Have you tried Zaino on your clearcoated wheels? It actually works great on wheels. Wheels get hot from the brakes and Zaino seems to last a lot longer than a wax.

txusa03, I don't have a pic but just picture clean like the first day I set eyes on my car in the first inside air conditioned bay at the BMW Performance Center.

My hand was virtually black afterwards even though I had a foam mit on (there was so much brake dust it was seeping through onto my hand), but a little scrubbing with soap took it all off. Just don't try to keep your hands clean when your cleaning behind the spokes. It's impossible. And the foam mits are reusable. Just rinse them out. They're like $3/ea. too.

Carnumba wax maybe, but Wheel Wax works AWESOME! This method will not work nearly as well without the Wheel Wax (www.wheelwax.com). If you have your wheels coated with wheel waxs, Zaino is incredible on them.
