Piano Black interior trim

Was it available? I was thinking about trying to find wood trim and get it repainted in piano black?

I have brushed aluminium and i really dont like it in any interior colour other than black leather

Don't think so, the choices I had when I bought mine new were Matt Titanium, Brushed Aluminium, Burr Walnut or Light Poplar. The brushed Aluminium is standard on M Sport. I think it loooks good but then I have dakota leather. I think you could get it as an 'individual' option though.

The only downside to piano black is it shows the dust and and fingerprints. I have dark poplar and that shows the dust but not as much as PB

2 of the 335i's I had in the past had piano black, its nice enough if its clean but its really hard to keep clean.

I have a dark brown wood now which I am not too keen on.

Wrap it yourself in carbon fiber wrap or alcantara. Then if you dont like that, buy a new set.

As posted piano black is tough to keep clean of dust and finger prints etc. But i think it looks the best. An example of my car jade grey with piano black.

piano black on the matte black doesnt look good to me. it needs some type of contrast.....which is why I made my trim white.

I have got piano black in my Alpina, the dealer is replacing mine under warranty, looks like they had a junior to prep the car and scratched it when getting the car ready. They tried to polish them with some abrasive polish out and made matters worse in sunlight. Piano black looks good but a sod to keep nice. I wipe mine very lightly over with a glass lens cloth and lens cleaner. This gets rid of fingerprints and dust. If I ordered a car again would look at other trim finish first. I do not think that Piano black is practical in a car, just too easy to mark/ scratch. Carbon fibre would be better, In my old E46 I have Aluminum cube trim as that was easy to scratch as well.

Thanks for the inputs guys, i am VERY fussy about the inside of my car and fingerprints/people touching things is a no no so it "shouldnt" be a problem here if i go down this route

The only way i can think of doing this at reliative low cost is swap my brushed alu with my mates wood effect trim and get it all painted?

The boss' old E90 M3 had carbon leather trim which was VERY nice but i can vision it being a pig to get hold of 2nd hand
