I'm selling in mint condition an automatic transmission shift knob. It comes from my 2006 325xi vehicle. The middle strip is titanium in color. I swapped this out for the performance shift knob. I'm asking $30 + $10 for shipping & handling. I accept payment via Paypal and will only ship to the lower 48 United States. PM me if you are interested. Thanks

I ordered the performance shift knob too. It will be here on Friday. Can I ask how you remove the original knob? Do you just pull up really hard? Any particular gear to be in???

Thank you,

Power on the car but don't start the engine and shift to N. Then pull straight up. Use 2 hands to get a better grip. When you install the other shift knob, push it back in so it clicks into place.

govtec - Thanks for the information. I will get it tomorrow so I will give it a try. I hope I do not pull my transmission into the drivers seat

I purchased both the shifter and boot. I hope it will look good in my car with grey interior. I was thinking of getting the ebrake and boot but I do not think the boot for the ebrake will look good with my color interior. It is currently grey. Thoughts?

I purchased both from getbmwparts.com.

Well I waited all day on Friday and it never made it. Boy was I disappointed as I took the day off work to get this. Now it say it will be delivered tomorrow (Monday). We will see.

govtec - Thanks for the how to. I received the shift knob a few minutes ago and installed it in minutes. Mine actually pulled up easily.

Looks great, can't wait to see how it feels resting my hand on it while driving.

Now I wonder how the matching ebrake and boot will look? I am not sure if I am going to get it as my interior is Grey. I think it may look weird considering my current boot on the ebrake is grey as well. Thoughts???

Sure thing.

It's definitely more ergonomically designed.

I didn't bother to match ebrake or boot. I just wanted something that would be an upgrade from the stock shifter. I don't think it looks too bad with the grey stitching and the black boot.

Am considering the performance selector for my car. Would love to see a picture of the selector installed WITHOUT the alcantara boot.

I can not share this without the boot as I have the boot installed. Hopefully you can imagine what it would look like. The first two are before pictures and then come the after. Enjoy!!!
