bridgestones were on the rear and to be honest, they are crap imho. in the wet the are not much short of dangerous. (to be fair the tread is low, but legal)

Ive just put 2 255 Goodyear eagle asymetric's on the rear of mine and they have a decent level of grip in the wet and are excellent in the dry. No complaints plus far nicer ride than with RFTs/

In past I've run on Dunlop Sp9000 on my e46 and they lasted ages including a ring trip around 30K on them and still had decent enough thread to sell them on with teh car

Before Eagle F1s and NCT5s

F1s are great in wet but very soft so only last around 10k on a front wheel drive car, NCT great in wet and dry and last much longer amazing comparing to bridgestone rfts

I have swapped to Eagle F1s - a great tyre, only criticism is that they are a bit noisy.

well first impressions are good! a good level of grip in the wet and the ride is so much smoother!! i can now not worry about dislodging a disc in my back when i go over small potholes, road noise seems to be down and in general i am very happy!

Had the tracking done too and the toe on the front was out, so happy days. now £540 lighter though...

That's great! Now all you need to do is find a good movie to use it on. Good luck in the hunt.

I've currently got RFTs on. If i switch to non rfts, do you get a warning light on the dash for RFT?

Is there anything special other than buying the right tyre and take it to the garage for em to fit?

No warning lights etc, nothing.

Pretty much so, yes. Enjoy.

The warning light comes on when the pressure in one of the tyres drops below a set level or the rotational speed of a tyre differs by a set amount, depending upon the type of system your car has. It makes no difference what the structure of the tyre is (RFT or non-RFT). If you change tyres, though, the system needs to be reset, probably because of a difference in pressures before and after. I had to do so each time I swapped out my wheels whether it was the rotational method or with the TPMS xmitters (I've had both systems).

Im on 18" wheels and I paid £489 for four Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics + £9.80 delivery + £20 to have them fitted. All in £518

I got my tyres from www.camskill.co.uk who were the cheapest by a country mile.

Checked on blackcircles and they are £215 each ! Cant believe 1" is so much more expensive. Extra £370 quid for a set?
