Whats it worth....(I know its boring...)
Hello,
The 330d has to go. Going to try privately first etc.... 330d SE Touring Auto, 37,000 miles. 2007 - 07 Montego Blue 18" Elipsoid Alloys Full Black Leather Pro Sat Nav DAB Bluetooth Rear Parking Sensors Thats about the lot. Its generally in good condition. Seen similar on the BMW approved for £23-34k. Was thinking of starting at £21k. Too pricey? Thanks Wall Last edited by thewallboy; 11-02-2009 at 08:43 AM.. |

Is it an e90 or e92?
Pistonheads classifieds are fairly good for judging current prices...

I have not looked recently mate, but generally PH cars are way too highly priced.

... been offered basically that as trade in on mine. 31500 miles and spec. as below.
So for a private sale it's probably not too far off the mark. Probably worth bunging through a valuation on Glass' Guide with the options added (£3.50) just as a sanity check.

Valuation without options above - so add some for more for having nav & BT. If its in top condition, I'd aim to get around the 25% of the difference between top trade in and retail for a private sale. (i.e. (£retail - £top trade) x 0.25 + £top trade). For this car that'd be £18.2k + £800 = £19k - plus a bit for having nav and BT. Many buyers will want an M Sport, but an SE with elipsoid 18"s still looks tasty so less of an issue than it could be. Just my opinion! |

Thanks chaps.
£16.5k from wewillbuyyourcar.com. Could have been worse. Could anyone suggest a couple of good dealers to try too? Going to wash (the car) tomorrow and get some pics ready for AutoTrader, PH and the classifieds on here. Cheers Wall |

wewillbuyyourcar offers are usually around 10% light of where their prices should be - so seems about right.
Your mileage is borderline, but just about OK for a main dealer, and the spec is pretty good - very good for an SE - hence worth a punt with any main dealer. Just ring a few up and ask to speak to their "buyer". Try and few London ones, and the bigger franchises - more buying power, plus often better offers in London. You might see a £17.5/£18k offer if you are lucky. Some pics would be good - sounds like a nice looking car. I'd try advertising in PH if I was you for private sale. Advertise for £20-21k - and accept anything around £19k as a good offer. You may have more luck in autotrader and ebay also. |
