Neighbour's new motor

Well I thought I had the quickest car in our street until a few weeks ago, when I thought I heard satan himself clearing out his throat.

Looked out the window to see THIS

I think even the DXB might struggle keeping with this at the Pod!

That's my dads old car!

Sold it to Chris in August of last year - a piston went in the original supercharged engine not long after Chris bought it and it's spent basically a year down at Monkfish having everything done.

He's done well with it. There were less than half a dozen of them in the country, and dads was one of three that was supercharged.

Proper beast now.

Not much of a consolation when it's handed you your ass on a plate.

I am sure all the lads that hang around outside the chip shop have those, look similar anyway.

I just don't get them, sorry.

Holy thread resurrection Batman!!!

Didn't see the car around for much longer after this, not sure what he did with it in the end? He also had a tasty sounding Holden pick-up for a while.

Anyway I've since moved, and got the quickest car in the street again

It looks like they used a smoothing percentage, but then modern dynos tend to be like that, much better when they used to dial in load every 500 rpm on the way up through the run IMO.

Good effort . Think I'm the same as you (though the bottom half of the street if full of OAPs so slightly unfair) .
