2006 330xi services
Hello all
I have a 06 330xi... 54k miles. Recently, I mentioned to my service advisor that I plan to keep my car for a long while... at least another 100 or 150k.... With that information, he suggested the following: change the plugs every 50k change the transmission, transfer and diff fluids every 50 to 75k. (due to the AWD) change the oil every 5 to 7.5k I am covered under the maint program until 100k... But of course the conditional recommendations of the onboard computer doesn't recommend anything near these intervals... Thus these wonderful costs would be funded by me. Has anyone else heard these type recommendations? Anyone believe this to be correct... or is this just revenue generating? Oh yeah, I was also told that starting with the 2010 vehicles.... BMW is recommending oil changes every 2 years rather than the current 1 year if you don't hit the mileage trigger points. -Sounds like our rolling computers are becoming disposable!! Thoughts? |
