who's happy with hifi package / std business radio?
I've the std business radio, with HiFi upgrade (NOT logic 7, 10 speakers, off which the 2 under the seats, two tweeters next to side mirors, two in doors, and two each on the side of the back seats.
I've never been happy with this. Need to turn balance nearly halfway to passenger side to get stereo, and about the same for fader Got during last service another 320 with radio professional, but standard speaker package (no tweeters next to the mirrors) and sound distribution was miles better. Checked settings and they were neutral for balance and fader... Anyone else has the same HiFi experience? On top of this I understand there is no amplifier upgrade etc available for this Hifi system |

The new version of the Business HiFi has deleted the rear tweeters so is pretty similar to the Alpine upgrade which I have.
I can't explain why you seem to have such balance problems with the business system - it's the first I've heard of this. Frankly, either it's you, or there is a fault with your system. Have it checked out. And you're right, there is no easy upgrade path from your spec. |

Sounds faulty to me.
Have the HiFi upgrade in my car and am very pleased with the results. When I had a standard system in a loan 330d for a couple of weeks I was entirely unimpressed with the sound system.

I've got logic 7 and while expensive its one I would not trade for anything else, well apart from the individual system

I've got the individual system !!
Incredible 825W circulating around is pretty mind blowing... literally !! Would recommend at least Logic 7 if Hi-Fi is important to you.... |

Standard system is appalling IMO - if you think a loan car with a standard system was better than your hi-fi equipped car there must be something seriously wrong with your system.
Hifi is many times better than the std. system and logic 7 blows them out of the water. I can only imagine how goow individual must be but I am very very happy with the logic 7 Get your car in for a check, something sounds amiss |

They have made some changes to the standard hi-fi in the LCI cars. I noticed this when I had a 320d M Sport that just had the standard set-up. I have the business system and it's great, I have had the logic 7 as well (in my old e90) and while the logic 7 is fantastic the new business is not that far behind.
My Porsche on the other hand has Bose and while it's a good system I would say it's no better than business yet you pay logive 7 money.. Good old Porsche. |
