how many miles per tank do you guys get?

I regularly get 480 - 520 miles on HWY at 70 mph average. City miles just don't compare due to too many variables.

What's defined as a "tank"? When the low fuel warning comes on? When the needle points to 0? When the range says 0? When the car sputters to a halt?

Err, good point. I go about 420 before filling mine up, but there's probably another 25-50 miles in there.

About 400 miles 70% city driving, 480 - 500 miles all highway.

Longest I've driven on one tank is approx 1150km (720 mls), and then the light had just come on, so a had a few liters left.
Here's a pics from that trip when I had driven little 387km and only used little over quarter of a tank.

Man, I wish they had a 335d xDrive

I range from like 350-420 miles on tank (328i xDrive 6MT). If I really try, I'll get over 400, but I hate having to be conscious about it. Little disappointing.

325 or so. I do a ton of city driving unfortunately, and love DS mode.

When I did do a drive to Houston, though, I think I drove there and back to San Antonio and got 430 +-

I got 545miles / 878 km highway cruising at 60mph/100km with very little accel and passing. It was a long drive... Has anyone notice how it just feels like you're always going slower than you actually are in the 3 series. 100 feels like 50. 200 feels like 100.

I usually get around 350 before my gas light turns on for the 8th of a tank warning. About 70/30 freeway/city. Not disappointed, as my G35 before it got maybe 6-8 MPG less.

I think it's important to note whether you have 328/330/335 and auto/manual.

335i 6MT, about 320 until the light comes on, about 50/50 city/highway
