HRE Centercaps on VMR V710s?

I'm just curious what people think of this, seeing as V710's imitate P40's, isn't this basically along the same lines of putting BBS centercaps on LM reps? Surely I'm not the first to have this thought, perhaps someone has already done so. I don't have wheels yet, I'm just looking to gauge the general opinion on this. Flame suit on.

I was talking with the guys at VMR and I heard something about VMR coming out with some carbon fiber caps.. Has anyone else heard or know if this was ever released?

That's one of the things I hate most when it comes to modding. You've gotta pay to play and if you can't afford it or don't want to put up the cash, then just be satisfied with what you can get. Same goes for m3 bumpers on non-m's.

Do what you want, its just cosmetics. I don't agree with the M3 bumper theory since you can easily buy OEM M bumpers, not chinese knock offs.

I'd personally stick to BMW center caps on the VMR's. Its nice they fit. BMW caps don't fit Linea Corse rims in my experience, unless you use BMW roundel stickers over the caps which looks like crap.

The new BMW caps will fit Linea Corse wheels

The ones I tried specifically are the caps from an LCI E90 335i Sport

I don't mind seeing HRE caps on V710s or BBS caps on LM reps. As a matter of fact, I thought member creaminz already did that before with the HRE caps. Man as long as it's what you want to do, dew it!!!

Yeah sure you gotta pay to play, but what about do whatever the hell you want with your OWN ride????

Zoeb, is this the case with ALL Linea Corses? I have the Dynas and If you can confirm that they'd snap right in I'm gonna have to order some.

You've been an asshole all of your life haven't you? I'm 20 and this is my first BMW, so pardon me if I can't afford $7K wheels. Just for the record this car was still 40K new. Again, I was just seeing what people thought and the response was overwhelming. I haven't done this and most likely will not, but there are lots of people on this forum who do so with the BBS caps. Thanks for your opinions.

Yes, I am still an asshole and I get better at it everyday. Doesn't change the point though, act your wage. I can't afford an M3, or an M5, or a R8 so I don't pretend to have one. I wish I could afford a new set of HRE wheels myself but I can't, so I will probably end up with a nice set of Linea Corse Dyna wheels and I won't be putting HRE caps on them because I am not fake. I also don't drive a V6 mustang and act like I am king dingaling on the streets. You won't see me putting M3 vents, hoods, and bodykits on my car either. Sure I might get M3 suspension components, but you can't see those. I would buy those for the actual upgrades they provide in handling.

Gotcha. I had Linea's on my E39 540 touring and the OEM caps from that car wouldn't fit those wheels.

That is what you need.

Not all E9x use the same wheels

Only the 09's e90's changed the cap style

the 08's and older DO NOT use this cap style

The 09 e92/e93 don't use it either, which is why I specifically mentioned LCI
