About to change my oil and spark plugs for the first time!

Hey all,

So I was looking for the best place to buy the oil, filter, spark plugs, etc and found this http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-335...gine/ES257805/

Anyone purchase this pack? Are the individual parts good? I'm familiar with Redline, and the oil is from BMW, but how about the filters? I've never heard of Mann or Mahle before...

Mann and Mahle are German, and good quality.

I don't know about the price, but have bought VW parts from ECS over the years with good results.

Mann are the best oil filters I have ever used. They are the only ones I use on my Volvo 850.

I'm running an auto btw... Can anyone confirm what that extra quart of gear oil is for?

I'm pretty sure I'll be purchasing this kit. I'll update this thread once I receive everything, and Ill confirm if theyre NGK or Bosch

The gear oil is for the diff. I would get some Redline or Royal Purple fluid for the transmission.
