I've had mine over a year and the mrs has had hears about 6 months without fault. Best phone I've owned!
If you restore the phone it will put it back to it was the last time you hooked it upto itunes. When you connect it to itunes it should give you the option to restore the iphone. Does it appear in itunes ok?

Your battery may be dead, or it may just need a hard reset (hold the home button and top on/off button continuously for >10 secs until you see the white "apple" logo appear. You don't loose anything but its like a reboot.
If the battery is dead you need to send it off to be replaced. You can DIY but it doesn't look easy, for the saving prob / risk of getting a rubbish battery from Hong Kong probably not worth it (new battery through O2 from apple is about £60 installed I think) |

i believe there is a new iphone firmware release just a few days ago that fixes the problem. try updating your firmware to see if it will fix the problem

You need to connect to itunes to do that. Mine did an update yesterday so that must be the one snipersix must be talking about.
Will it not even turn on when connected to itunes? I would let it go flat and then one its completely flat connect to itunes and update it.

The two button re-boot does not work. Just come sup with the screen of a empty battery.

All you can do is leave it plugged into your laptop/pc charging and see if it comes alive. If not ring o2 and speak to them about it and have it sent away/replaced

Carl, Apple have videos on their website for everything. They have 'how to's' for everything. They have a forum for everything. For fuck sake use your keyboard skills and your single brain cell and get on that site and start learning to do shit for yourself. A small amount of looking and reading will sort this shit out.
The Apple iPhone is not perfect but its as far close to at present compared to its competitors. Wise man once said a bad workmen blames his tools !!! |

Has it been remapped? I have heard that this causes issues with battery durability and lifespan.

Are you sure you're holding down the two buttons at the same time for long enough to do the reset? It does take a while, and once you get the logo it does take several minutes for it to go back to "normal". If you're not getting the logo at all, its not doing a reset. Mine has always responded to this, even when it has frozen in all sorts of ways (due to all the iffy software I've downloaded).
If its only 2 months old, the battery should be fine. Have you dropped it? Did you get the one with the upgraded internal packaging? |
