Question for Saddle owners...

For you folks that have Saddle interiors, does the light (gray) headliner bug you at all with this interior?

From the pictures I've seen, Saddle looks great with the anthracite headliner (in the M Sport), but looks perhaps a little odd with the gray, no?

I don't even notice it on my Space Gray coupe with 35% ceramic tint.

Still looks great... but anthracite would be a sick combo.

It doesn't bother me, but I would have preferred the darker headliner. Alcantera would be perfect.

I had Saddle + the Grey headliner on my last car (E92). It bothered me sometimes but I could live with it. I have Saddle + M-Sport on my E90 and it's simply fantastic. Finally, a solid 2 tone instead of 3 colors.

You can get the black headliner by itself for around $1k. To be honest, if you have the extra cash, it's worth it.

I don't notice nor have any of my passengers. Its not something ever comments on. It really does not bother me nor has it on any other car.

Although I agree that anthracite headliner would have been killer and if the M-sport option was available to me when I purchased, I would have gotten the M-sport option -- that said -- I am happy with what I have.

Is it something that can be ordered with the car, or is it aftermarket? Also, how do you like your E90 after having the E92?

I don't have saddle - I have a Dakota gray interior (which I love). My comment on the liner is that it is very neutral and has a slight blue hue to it. I think it would look great with Saddle, if you even noticed it at all.

I really wouldn't worry about it. The saddle interior is beautiful, headliner and all. I certainly wouldn't spend extra money on the darker headliner.

Oh, and I'd encourage you to go look in person. The saddle color never seems to translate very accurately to computer photos.

Umm, no. Cover it yourself for price of suede/alcantara fabric/yd + 3M glue.

You can order it OEM, I believe it retails for around $1k.

Love it. Of course it's hard to compare because I'm going from a E92 equipped with the N52 and going to a E90 equipped with the N54. Still though, rather enjoying the LCI E90 M-sport. Nice improvement over the coupe IMO.

Different strokes for different folks.

I'd rather stick with OEM, but that's just me. Looks much more clean.

Get it professionally upholstered.. it'll be far less than $1k.

Black headliner > Grey headliner regardless of interior color.

How much less do you think it would be? I doubt very much it would be much less that $1K at all to have it done professionally.

I think if I can get from the factory in black, I'd do it. Probably not too keen about doing it aftermarket (just not my thing). I'm sure I can live with the gray if necessary. If I get the Lemans M Sport, it's done anyway, but I'm still thinking about Monaco with 230s.

It's incredibly stupid, but my dealer told me I wold never look up, and he was right. Saddle is amazing. I ignore the gray ceiling. I wish it was black, but wouldn't hesitate on saddle because of the ceiling. It's truly an amazing interior. You'll feel like you're riding in pure luxury. And use Pinnacle products and it brings out even more of the beauty.

Not at all, on the contrary for me the anthracite would be too claustrophobic. No regrets there. Combined with aluminum trim.

I guess I beg to differ. I see it while I'm driving every time I'm in the car. The A/B/C pillars are also black, not just the headliner.

Unless if you choose not to look when you turn or merge or drive in general, you won't notice it.

You've gotta be out of your mind to buy a $1k headliner. I bought an OEM black headliner out of a R32 for my old GTI for like $300 and thought that was absurb. Full black R32 interior with headliner, pillars, visors, map lights, etc. goes for like $500.

Upholstery isn't cheap, but I'd estimate $5-600 to have a headliner and a/b/c pillars covered in suede or alcantara. $150 if you do it yourself.
