Griot's Machine Polish #4 if it's fairly new paint.....otherwise go with Machine Polish #3.

We are likely confusing this... some people are suggesting sealants and some abrasive polishes.

My favourites...

Polish: Menzerna PO203... easiest polish out there... one step correction FTW!

Sealant: Collinite 845 or Zaino Z2... Collinite protects longer but Zaino looks better IMO.

Meguiars products are the best IMO I used Zaino for a long time but the car looked the same and the shine fades faster.

Try the pinnacle line

Excellent products, easy to use, fantastic results, and the price is not bad. I like all the Pinnacle stuff...

what do you already have today? are you going with machine or by hand? what are you trying to achieve? How much time are you willing to spend to detail your car? How will you be maintaining it after the 'major polish/detail'?

there are many great products out there, but really all depends on the above to make a better recommendation for you.

ZAINO RULES. Even for the leather cleaner and conditioner. its the best. My car is 5 yrs old and the interior is ALWAYS gleamed upon by new occupants.

What does the OP mean by "polish"?

Are you looking for something that will fix swirls and scratches or something that will protect the paint? Are you looking for something that does both? Lots of things can be "polish" to people.

Poorboys products are great, I have used a lot of different products for years, from expensive to cheap and so far I've noticed that poorboys is the best bang

I am a fan of the Evercoat products. I had used the Hand Glaze, which is now discontinued, for years. I am now using the Triple Gloss, P/N 100032.It contains no silicone or wax. My car is Jerez Black and this product removes fine swirl marks and has produces a very high gloss. I apply it by hand with micro-fiber towels. Application and removal is very easy

The only drawback with this product is availability. I have only been able to get it through auto body supply stores. I have never seen it in retail stores. From my experience it is worth the effort.
