I wasn't all that impressed with mine. They weren't very bright, I kinda like the stock yellow over the not very bright blue. That being said, I don't know of a good cheap alternative. It's worth trying out for the ~$20 the bulbs will cost you off of ebay

You should wait and check out the GP Thunder Version 2's. I just got a set to test for E92-Lighting and they are noticeably brighter then the original GP Thunders. A bunch of guys at our local meet saw it in person and they all agreed they were brighter and even confused them for other LED solutions that are available.

I got a set from E92 lighting (Derick) and although they arent very visible during the day i MUCH prefer the white light over the yellow. For the 40$ (cornering and angels) I spent, I am not dissapointed. I would love to have something birghter but for the money its not a bad deal IMO. Cant wait for gp thunder 2's and project X from e92 lighting

I use gp thunders for my angel eyes and fogs. The bright white color. Its plenty bright in the daytime for me. The pure white drl's show up fine.

I must have a different type of gp thunders because everybody tells me how bright mines are.

I have Elite angel eye kit with GP Thunders 7500 and it's the 2nd brightest compared to HID angels.

gp 8500k here for well over a year in the angel eyes, and they match the oem headlights perfectly (7500k was too blue looking... go figure).
oem looks good by itself because it's bright. But when you have the corner delete mod done and you're driving at night with the oem HID headlight bulbs, the oem angel eyes look weird with the headlights. The gp bulbs match better and it looks a lot cleaner when you look at the car (no amber in the front). |
