Would you accept it?

Today saw the WORST case of orange peel ever on a black '09 reg. 116i. Whole of the passenger side looked an absolute mess and was immediately noticeable.

Was going to take a pic. with my phone but the assumed owner turned up. Felt like pointing it out to the young man but it's probably his pride and joy.

Find it incredulous that it came out of the factory like that and the dealer didn't sort it whatever!

Not much a dealer can do. Comes from factory like that. I think its to do with newer water based paints.

Just think it's pretty poor when we've all seen examples of first class re-sprays so it can be done.

Fine, car manufacturers have to use water based paints but this is the 21st century and right tools for the job etc. Probably a cost thing.
