Exclamation Spied: 2007/2008 - 335i Sedan E90 M-sport aero kit?

As can be seen from these photos, BMW is likely to be preparing a facelift for the 3-series to meet the new Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class which are coming on the market in late 2007. On these pictures of an undisguised test car one can see the new bumper and also the different shape of the BMW typical ”kidneys” in the front grille.

In the beginning the engineers from Bavaria had been driving up and down a mountain road with a disguise over the test car’s front end, but decided to take it off for a short trip afterwards – which is when they got caught by the photographer. Looking closely, the taped- on disguise left some marks on the side of the prototype

[EDITED BY E90POST STAFF -- Sorry fellas, Hans Lehman and Leftlanenews have threatened our site with lawsuits etc because of these pictures. This is complete BS if you ask me but hey, I for one will never visit those sites again. Use worldcarfans instead.]

**** Here is a link to the pictures : http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphoto...eries-facelift ****

oh man, that baby's got some wheel flare... especially the rear.

now it's got more than the e92. 335 which has like none on the rear...
all saved up for the M3coupe.

not to crazy about what they did with the front air dam.

Yuck to the front.

The rear looks better with twin tailpipes, IMO.

Maybe that's just the front end for the e90 M3? Just speculating.

Could be....seeing as the e92 has a different look to the e90, perhaps the respective M3 versions will also have the same...???

That definitely won't be available when the 4 door 335i comes out. Cause pictures have been posted in the past of the 4 door 335i's sitting in the back of some USA lots and they are not wide like that.

Maybe that is the mid model face lift, but wide fenders on the 335i bring up the question, that the M3 would have to be wider than that. Makes the coupes look a bit weak, if you ask me. It’ll be interesting to see what happens.

It would be nice if they would make the damn lights match so we can have some model coherence (yes I know the coupe is supposed to be the "4 series", but it is not and needs to match it's 4 door brethren, or visa versa) without it it seems odd. The rear of the cars can deviate but the fronts need to agree with each other a little more closely; this front apron is a step in the right direction. Now we need leaner lights and the updated grilles.

omg i like the current bumper so much more. its simpler, and less obtrusive. this one looks like it belongs on the front of the new G35.

why not just use the current e90 design and drop the new engine w/ the twin turbo in there? unless it needs to be re designed for more room?

The only thing this picture proves definitively is that the engineers prefer Terra.
