Snow Leopard out Friday......for the Mac users!
No a Snow Leopard is not going to escape from the Zoo tomorrow
Off tomorrow so I think I might pop in to the Apple Store and grab a copy. The review so far have been good and for the price it is not a big deal though Anyone thinking to upgrade? Steph |

As I bought my Macbook Pro after June 8th, my copy of Snow Leopard has been shipped as a cost of £7.95, under the Up-to-Date Programme.
I'll be looking forward to the increased speed in photo manipulation & video editing. If you're using Leopard right now, the single user license to upgrade is £25 & £39 for the Family Pack. Viv |

That's it got the New Leopard installed.
Upgrade went fine, all files seems at the same place Cannot comment on speed gain as it is not as significant. Otherwise, it is all under the hood but nothing really eye catching from an end user point of view. Has anyone upgraded yet? S. |

i have installed snow leopard OSX10.6 on the desktop machine i'm posting from. As you said nothing earth shattering, just worked. Took 22 mins on the 8 core & 45min on the MB Pro
But on my MB Pro is freed up 12GB of hard drive space which is worth the outlay.

Just upgraded my 3GHz Intel iMac and can't tell a blind bit of difference
With all the current updates, I was already running Safari 4.03 etc.... Not quite sure what my £25 has bought me as yet? |

I notice a difference. The interface has some changes, certain programs are better designed, more features, around 12gb free for me. Definitely worth the few bucks. But if your not a computer person, you wont notice much so dont bother.

To be honest the last two releases Snow Leopard and Leopard have been a step backwards in my view. On my wifes Macbook and on my Dell Crackintosh Laptop Tiger runs much more snappier than Leopard or Snow Leopard.
