New Owner - Baltimore County Area Meets?

I'll be receiving my '09 335i xDrive M Sport coupe in a few days and I'm seeking information on regular meets in Baltimore County or adjacent counties.

Thanks and I look forward to meeting the local groups.

Check above the thread, there is an upcoming events calendar.

I have a weekly meet in Annapolis every Thursday. We have several monthly meets in Columbia, Rockville and NoVA.

welcome!!! You got yourself a great car. Sparks is a bit out there, but hopefully you can make it down to the Columbia meets as they are probably the best ones going.

That's the first that I saw the section. Thanks for the direction.

It was a tough choice but my dealer located the car while it was in the Atlantic and re-routed it before it hit its original destination of CT. Columbia is reasonably close. When I see info on the next meet, I'll give it a shot to attend. How many cars are typically expected? What is the typical demographic? Is it solely a BMW meet or is there a mix? Is there a typical location in Columbia or is it a rotation of locations? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

The Columbia meet is on the second Thursday of every month it's held by the BMW Car Club. Usually there's about 30-50 cars depending on weather. This is pretty much a BMW meet no other makes and models really.

Welcome to the forum and hope to see you at the meets.

For dates in the very local vicinity, I'd take them to Milton Inn in Sparks as well as Greystone Grill and Green Leaf in Hunt Valley. For large groups and beers and basic food, I'd typically take them to Max's in Baltimore or Hightopps Backstage Grille in Lutherville.

Wonka... check the car out carefully before you take delivery. You have to watch those valet guys. I hope you didn't get aluminum interior trim. If so , watch out for the seat belt ! DO NOT release it early. it will hit the door trim and dent it.

I gave it the full 'thrice-over' as it sat in the delivery room. Its funny that you mention aluminum trim. A friend of mine recommended it as 'a must' but I opted for the dark burl. It was down to those 2 but when I saw a build sheet for my car (as 1 of 4 from which to choose), dark burl was an easy decision. As for the seat belt, I was already worried about the chrome contact point to the left side of the driver's seat. I gave it a thumb buff the first time the seat belt's metal contacted it. No chrome was hurt during the release of said belt.

Good times.

I know this is an E9x forum, but are the meets for 3 series owners only or can new 5 series owners join in the fun? My future pride and joy is still on the other side of the Atlantic awaiting transport, but I'm hoping to be the happy owner of a 2010 535i w/ M Sport within the next three weeks or so. I had my heart set on a LeMans Blue 335i w/ M Sport, but it was just a bit too small. Besides, once my two boys found out the 535i had rear heated seats, it was game over.
