That's awesome Vlad!

It's as if they're using that guy as a metaphor for da Vinci, an artistic and technical guru who was years before his time. After all, he drew up plans for a helicopter, perpetual motion machine, etc., Centuries before successful implementation.

I think the concept behind this commercial is that it shows how some will go to extraordinary lengths to think outside the box and put ideas into action. The result is a blend of artful grace and the successful implementation of a mechanical device. BMW wants to be known for its innovation, forward thinking and artful eloquence. It's a "company of ideas."
