USED - BMW OEM Factory iPod Interface Adapter (used for MOST Bus vehicles) P/N 65 11 0 036 446

Price: $180 SHIPPED

I recently returned my leased 2007 BMW E60 M5 and am selling the iPod interface adapter. The kit was purchased and installed at BMW of Fremont in September 2007. The unit and adapter are in excellent condition since it was nicely tucked away in the glove compartment. This kit retails for over $319+.

Here is a description from the BMW website:

Integrate your Apple iPod into the BMW audio system. Control and listen to your iPod music collection using your vehicle's iDrive, radio and steering wheel controls. Using the CD Changer mode on the iDrive or radio controls, you can access the functionality of your iPod. The interface is compatible with 3rd, 4th & 5th generation iPods, the iPod Classic, iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod touch and the Apple iPhone. However, the interface is not compatible with the iPod shuffle. This device cannot be used in conjunction with the optional Six-Disc CD Player/Changer or factoryinstalled USB/iPod Interface.

*For vehicles without navigation system (produced from 03/05-on)
*For vehicles with navigation system (produced from 09/05-on)

Part no: 65 11 0 036 446

Once installed, you *may* have to take your car into BMW to have it "reprogrammed" to use this adapter. If you already have a CD changer in the car, it should just be a simple plug-n-play. But please do your DD (due diligence)!

Here's a DIY on the 5 & 6 series:
