short E92 335i video from in cockpit
Looks like an Automatic Transmission, but still very impressive! I like that exhaust sound!

Well the video is only 6 seconds long, i would say that the first second the car hasn't started. And it hit 60 in the video, So i totally buy the 0 to 60 in around 5 seconds! It sounds just like my 325 in the cabin, but then again it is a bad quality video!

Yeah, you'll notice if you pause the video, at the 1 sec mark, the car is just getting started and still at 0mph. I paused it again at 10mph, and it was at 2 seconds in the video.
Whats really amazing is how fast those RPMs climb through the shifting. it seems to go from 2000 to 7000 in nothing, and than again from 4500 on up to 7000 again very fast. That peak power band of torque is pretty amazing. 1300 to 5000 is a really wide band, so probably 90% of your normal driving will be in the fat of that powerband. There's not even that much falloff at the very top end revs. Nice for 30 to 50, 50 to 70, 30 to 70, etc. |
