Buffer trails... Starts with mediium polish/pad?

Before I picked up my Z4MC (black saphire), the dealers detailed tried to correct VERY minor swirls, and left holograming... I'll post pics when the sun comes out, I didn't notice them in the overcast conditions when I picked up the car or I would have asked for a paint corextion at a pro detailed to be covered.

Never done repair on buffer trails, or seen a guide. I assume I start with a l start with medium/medium? Or would light polish/medium pad be better?

Start with a light polish first with a finishing pad and see if that works. Always try the least aggressive combo first. Step up to a medium polish if this doesn't work.

I had pretty heavy swirls and holograming when i first picked mine up. I started with Menzerna Super Intensive Polish PO83 - 2 passes with Orange Light Cutting Pad, then Menzerna PO106FA Nano Polish - 1 pass with white finishing pad. All swirls and holograming are 95% gone and i'm really happy. All that is left is some deep swirls/scratches that may come out when i do the finishing polish again in the fall. But you can only see them when upclose and really looking for defects.

So I would try finishing pad with light polish to start.

The paint is smooth to the touch, so I'll start light, and hopefully it works, thanks.

I would start from the least aggressive one and step up!
