Metro-Detroit Drive

I'm in West Bloomfield/Bloomfield Hills for summer and then going back up to East Lansing in a couple weeks for school. I finally got an E90 and I want to take her out for a fun drive, not a ton of traffic/poor road conditions, also not looking to go too far so I'm really looking for something in the Metro-Detroit area.

I know I missed it, so bummed about it too. I'm just looking for a route to take, I played around a bit on M-5 today after driving around a couple of the lakes but short of driving out to Kensington and back I couldn't really think about any good route.

Before summer is over, you should take a weekend and head up north to hit up the tunnel of trees. good 8 hr round trip drive, but with a night in Harbor Springs or Petosky it would be alright!
