The 335i has landed ...in Canada (pictures inside)
I can't believe the Canadians have got the 335i at the retailer before the big market of the U.S. This is a first by fluke!
The car is magnificent. My first impression was the wheels. This is the difference the 19" wheels make vs. the 18": I have a 2002 330i sedan with the sport package 17" wheels and I put on the 18" M wheels and it was a big difference. That is the difference you see between the 18's and 19's on the 335i. I sat in it and i'm 6'5.5" and i had a cell phone and wallet in my back pockets and i have about 1.5" inches left between the top of my head and the inside roof. I'm going to have to take everything out of my pockets before i drive it. I had the seat all the way back and all the way down. I have long legs and there was plenty of room for the legs with the steering wheel in the proper comfortable position. I didn't get to drive them since they have not even gone into the shop to prep them. The dealer has two 335's and two 328's so far - no nav. They came in this AM. I caught a backside picture of the reflector. This car had spacers in the suspension so they sit down much more than you see. Enjoy! Mike ^^this last one is the backside of the front fender reflector (looks like a tab that pops it out) Last edited by bmwmike; 08-30-2006 at 10:44 PM.. |

The BMW Store in Vancouver, BC. I'm sure all the Lower Mainland dealers have got them by now since they are shipped out of the Annacis Island terminal.

yes, the wing nuts appear to be for the fender innner skirt or something else. I thought the same when I put my hand under there but then looked. When that reflector pops out there will be a hole almost the same size. I wonder how much a Euro bumper will be.

Being one of the very few people that have actually seen Space Gray in person, what did you think?
Thanks for the closeup of the "mesh grate" under the front bumper. Is that the intercooler behind there? Also, it looks like on the space gray the mesh is body colored but that it is black on the others. Is this just the picture... do the 335s get body colored... any ideas? |

It really looks great, lots of flake in the metalic paint. It's not as flat looking as it is in pictures. If you've seen a G35 in Diamond Graphite, it's similar. |

Spotted a couple of e92 on a transport bound for Park Shore Motors on the North Shore while out for a walk last night. I couldn't make out if one was a 335 - the truck passed too fast. I assumed they were 328s. Couldn't give chase. I can only run so fast. I'll be checking them out tonight.

You people are rediculous.. that space in the rear bumper is NOT for a rear reflector... jeez.
In that hole is the screw for the tow hook. It is usually covered by a plastic body coloured panel that has the ability to pop out. If you notice, there's also one in the front as well, they use tow hooks for the transport of these vehicles. /end rant |
