Those members who live in Seattle, Redmond area, can they advise me how life is overall there. How many days does it rain/snow per year? Are roads like California? Do you get ticketed for going 5mph over posted speed. In San Diego, you can pretty much do a 90mph and still escape being ticketed sometimes

I am considering relocation to Washington area, but would like to know what I would have to give up

I just relocated from Orange County, and so far I really like it up here. The traffic sucks - especially getting to Redmond during rush hour, but the flip side is that people so far are much friendlier.

I've heard it only snows once or twice per year. There is a lot of precipitation but it actually rains more in Miami than in Seattle, so it's not that bad.

It's only rained twice here this week; Monday to Wednesday and Wednesday to Friday.
