Sounds like a bad fuel pump... This is the second pump I've gotten. Any ideas on what else they need to replace? Spark plugs, coils and injectors?

Looks like a fuel pump again for sure. I have read about guys on their 3rd pump, and even cars that have gone back to BMW due to the lemon law for the file pump. Hopefully you do not have too many mods, but take off what your can (tune, dps, etc.) and take it back to the dealer and have them check it out.

Looks HPFP related, easy nowadays. Heck, like some, considering keeing a spare here just to avoid taking it to the shop.

Brought it into the dealer. They are replacing the HPFP, all 6 injectors and updating the software. Getting the car back Monday, so we'll see what happens.

Seems like mine may be on the way out too; just coming up on 2,400 miles on the car
I had code "2FBF Fuel pressure at injection release" trigger along with the SES light, and have had occassional long cranks.

Ace, (or anyone else)

I assume the 3 codes regarding the misfires led them to replacing the injectors?

Do injectors go bad directly as a result of the pump, or are they unrelated and just a coincidence in this case?

I had the codes 29DC, 29F2 and 2FBF which are all pump related I believe, but not any misfires, and they've decided to replace the pump only.

Got the car back today. They ended up replacing all 6 injectors and the HPFP. They also performed a software update to 2.34.2.

Mods - JB3 1.3, BMS DCI, RR 2nd Cat Delete, Bastuck Exhaust, Koni FSDs, and H&R Sways.

On the report, it said misfire faults: 29CE, 29CF, 29D0, and 29DC. Faults 29F2, 2FBF stored for High Pressure Fuel system.

Maybe the misfires indicate the injectors are bad and the 29F2, 2FBF are HPFP?

LOL! Are you serious? You're going to print out this thread and go and show them as proof they should not deny you warranty work?

Ace, what was the part number for the pump? Was it 13517592881?

I wonder if that's the latest version one?

Yeah, they updated my car to 2.34.2. Car feels much better. No more turbo lag and a lot more responsive below 3000 rpms. And this is before a tune. I wonder what it will feel like with the JB3 back on. I think I had 29.2 before.
