kinda dissapointed.... especially since the 135 is making more power and proly a lot more torque and weights a lot less....and it barely pulls away...

that was my assumption after watching it a few times. The ASR car has upgraded turbos, makes the same amount of HP at the wheel. Makes alottttt more torque. is almost 1000 lbs lighter. And really it doesnt blow the M5 away and if u look at the other video. Whem the M5 got the jump. It held on to the lead.

Info from the YouTube video

"The 135i has our turbo upgrade package on it. This package as 3 levels of power 430whp pump gas, 475whp pump with Meth injection, and 540whp 104octane and meth injection. To make it fair, since the M5 was stock, we raced on pump gas. Will post video tomorrow from the inside the M5."

"asrengineering:

The car was at 430whp pump gas to keep it fair. "

I don't get where people think he had 540whp, he had 430whp with pump gas. So what happened was exactly what was expected. Less hp, less weight, pull away slowly...

Man!, that 135 must have been DOHC - V Tech Baby! Really kicked in there at the end!
No for real, nice post. If I didn't have a baby on the way I would def have the 135 in the d-way.

u guys need to keep i mind the gearing and powerband of the v10. Its a highway monster which is where the n54 does not shine typically.

I still think the turbo upgrades by FP will be worth the wait, I think they will make better power with a better curve, I just don't think these turbos are worth the money at this point. Heck, I had a 394 whp 405 wtq on 93 Oct. Stealth TT AWD and raced my best friends m5 and he didn't pull me til 140 and only a 1.25 cars, and the stealth tt weight was 3720 with me in the car. And AWD is a big disadvantage on the highway vs RWD. I just and not as impressed with these turbo upgrades for the money. I think there will be better options in the future and will probably be worth waiting for.

saw these yesterday.

I would just like to see more than 1 person (and even that person is someone close to asr) with this turbo kit. especially since according to abid all 10 pre-orders have been sold and 4 more on top of that. so thats 14 kits that should be delivered in to the hands of neutral third parties to give us their unbiased opinions.

Don't know how "neutral" and "unbiased" their opinions will be after spending $5k + PROcede if applicable. You see how biased people are regarding $600 tunes/PB's, do you really think a $5k item is going to be any different?

I wish one of those guys was Scalbert.
