Floored the car and this happened...
So i installed my V3 Rev1 Map 0 a few days ago. i desided to go for a drive today. drove around for a while with some slight gunnings here and there. i entered a feeway on ramp and floored it. the car took off and then traction flashed, a pop came out of my exhuast (keep in mind i dont have mufflers or secondary cats) and this popped out on my dash...
now there is no sound coming from my blowoff valve. my best guess is "limp mode". what do i do next? is it safe to drive like this?

Maybe your charge pipe sprung a leak? or intercooler piping? Sounds like a boost leak.

If you heard a pop, I GUARANTEE you your charge pipe blew off the throttle body. This is a known problem when boost is increased.
Run your hand along the charge pipe past the BOV and away from the intercooler. When you get to the end, I bet it's off.

One word of advice, if it was your charge pipe that blew off, and if you still have the limp sign after you put it back on, check your tmap sensor then. Had mine come of at 6500 rpm on the dyno and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't get out of limp, until we pulled the whole thing off and saw that the tmap was smashed. At least it wasn't that expensive to replace.

Thats what it was bro it was the BOV pipping that popped off. the one that is connected to the back of the engine not the one that was connected to the IC. i put it back on and shit my pants so i took off my tune lol. but the cars boost is still cut. anyone in cali have a code clearer so i can take it to the dealer?

Told ya!
If you are still not getting boost, then you didn't get the charge pipe all the way back on right. You have to pull that metal clip up...it's kind of difficult...but pull it all the way up, then push the charge pipe on as far as it will go. Put A LOT of muscle into it, and then, once it's all the way back on, hold force on it while you push that metal clamp/clip back down. Then restart and I bet your problem goes away.

It plugs into the TMAP sensor, so this will guide you to it. I really don't think that's the problem, though. I think your pipe is still not on all the way...or your boost just isn't the same due to removing the tune. Are you still getting a CEL when you get into boost? Drive it and go over 3500 RPM and tell us if you get a CEL again.

did you get the pipe back on? is the tmap okay or smashed? If pipe is back on, and tmap okay, then limp should clear eventually. if tmap gone, go to nearest bmw and buy one. was about $120 for me. dont worry about driving around on limp, I had to go around on it for 2 days. Your car will just be slow as shit, like oldschool 318 slow. heh.
