Koni's

Any opinions or experience with:
Koni's standard offering vs. TC Kline spec'd Koni's vs. Dinan spec'd Koni's for the Z4 Coupe? I would likely use these with the stock Sport package springs.

Ride quality and handling with any of these vs. stock Sport package?

i have original konis paired up with eibachs. since they are adjustable you can adjust them to rebound softer than the stock shocks or to the point where they can make you sick.

i have them adjusted at one full turn front/rear and the ride is better than stock in my opinion (even with the eibachs)

What are you running for tires with that combo? Runflats or conventional tires? 17" or 18" wheels?

I would also like to hear of any eperiences with the Koni's versus the base Z4 suspension. The base suspension was my first choice, but most dealers only had Sport Package equipped cars left when I got around to buying mine.

Most of the European automotive press seemed to recommend the base suspension over the Sport Package.

By this comment I would assume the eibachs are considered firmer than stock, but aren't they progressive? If so, is the starting spring rate less than stock or higher? I guess I should do a search on the Eibachs to see if anyone is running them with stock shocks (base or Sport Package) and see if their ride quality improved.

there are a few people that have run the eibachs with stock shocks (GP20 being one of them) and the stock shocks failed in a short amount of time. not worth it in my opinion if youre going to have to swap them out for new ones in the near future anyway

No plans to change just springs here. I was just trying to clarify whether or not the Koni's can give a better ride quality even with firmer springs? Or did the progressive rate of the Eibach springs contribute to the improvement you felt?
