Mine had a sticker in the top corner of the windscreen that echo'd what the salesguy told me during handover.... 1200 mile run in No more than 5500RPM No more than 112mph (or was it 102? cant remember now!!) No full throttle, etc... I was pretty good with it and kept the revs below 6k except for a couple of 'incidents ' - from what some people say, these cars have an over-rev recorder and the dealer can see what revs the car has done, how often and for how long. Not worth compromising a warranty claim IMO. It felt like getting a new car again at 1200 miles If you think it's quick when you first get it, wait until you can red line it to 8400RPM - it's awesomely quick. Get those 1200 miles on asap and enjoy the car - need to get some pics up after collection. Paul |

as paul says - just take it easy and do as the sticker on your windscreen says!!
bmw wouldn't get you to do it if it wasn't important not to blast the rev range (i think!) it's very frustrating and sometimes it's easy to get a little heavy-footed (but i think the odd blast went unnoticed!) I managed to do my 1200 miles in about 2 weeks with a good blend of pootling round town and some good miles on the motorway. they soon ticked over and now it's fun fun FUN!!!!!!!!! so what's your spec? |

Thanks guys, i'll bang the 1200 miles on quick as I can. Off to the ring in September so gotta be done by then.
Spec as follows:- Space Grey Black Extended Leather DCT EDC 19" wheels Carbon Trim Logic 7 Bluetooth & telematics Folding Mirrors Heated seats High Beam, Assist Adaptive Lights High Gloss Shadowline Sun Protection Glass USB Interface Have the black front grills on order as well. I know evolve do remaps and are well respected on this forum but I have always used DMS on 2 porsches and a R/R sport TDV8 and there service and remaps have been excellent. Has anyone had a M3 done by them? Ian |

Not sure how good a remap will be on a NA engine without a different exhuast and filter. I think with those fitted a map will release about 40bhp more than stock. |
