KW v1

I am just wondering why different vendors are saying different things about shipment from Germany. KW USA themselves said it would probably only take 2-3 weeks to order them, while vendors like SonicMS is saying it takes 12 weeks!! Nevertheless, i decide to order mine through Thmotorsports in IL, because they said it would arrive in 2-3 weeks and they actually offer me a price lower than SonicMS which many people says is offering the lowest price. Th-motorsports inform me today that my order that was placed last week was built the next day the order was placed and shipped from Germany too, so i should be looking at a week tops for it to arrive. Hope this helps for those who are looking to get a KW coilover without waiting for ridiculous waiting times.

Well legit dealers are listed here: http://www.kw-suspension.com/en/60_D..._USA/index.php

As to the wait time, on the KW V1xi there were about 15 in the US, now more on the shelf in Germany. So on average when we send an order out from there to customer in the US it takes approx 2-3 weeks on average. Anyone telling you otherwise is probably not in the loop of how things work. If an item at KW isn't on the shelf there - I've seen the build time take up to 4-5 Maybe up to 6-7 weeks but not 12 weeks. Not even for a race level or clubsport coilover.

Who did you order it from? And when did they say yours will arrive?

just installed them today!

the ride height is set VERY low, and looks great!
the ride has not deteriorated, in fact, it has increased
the body roll - has decreased tremendously -- still waiting to install my UUC sway bar.
the car feels stiffer

problems:
-there is a slight clunk at low speeds when i lock the steering wheel in either direction
-i am at 5 threads remaining at the front from the bottom, and 1 space remaining in the rear, and my car is not jammed, but about 13 inches all around!
-going to lower the rear all the way, to get the 13F,12.75 rear.

love the quality, and the install was pretty straightforward.

Yep, saw your pics already... Looks good. Mine has just arrived today. Takes only 2 weeks. Faster than what most vendors and even KW themselves said they would. =)
Thanks th-motorsports. Best price and unbeatable service

Coils coming in tomorrow. Sucks they wont go on for 2 weeks though. Flying out of state.

To everyone who did their installs by a pro, how long did your install take? I have been hearing 4 hours from some forums members.

I'll be taking mine to a pro who specializes in BMW, Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari and occasionally does some Audi work. I haven't gotten a quote from him yet though.

Well, when i had a pro changing my springs, it took him less than 4 hours and that is including the time he needs to figure out the installation first since its his first time working on an e92. Somebody more experienced should probably take less time since coilovers and springs installation process are pretty much similar.

Perfect... Well this guy does work on alot of E9x and E46 M3s alongside all of his Porsche project cars so I am hoping for a 3-4 hour install and hoping to get an install appointment tomorrow morning even though I have to admit that is a bit of a stretch since I am only calling him today.
