Something rolling around? /Resolved
I have an '06 330I E90. For the past month there has been something rolling around. It goes forward when I stop, and rolls back when I start off. It seems to be underneath the passengers left foot. I took the plastic tray off underneath the car and nothing was there. Is there some kind of "compartment" between the tranny hump and where the left foot would be for the passenger front seat in the floorboards? I haven't had this area apart or don't have a schematic of that structure. Any ideas?

Maybe the air vents under the seat? I had a coin there and it drove me nuts until I finally got it out.

At first the air vent was what I thought. I looked under the seat and didn't even see the outlet. So I tore a few more things apart looking for it, to no avail. So I asked my 9 yr. old daughter to lay upside down in the back seat and I drove back and forth. She finally yelled "I see it". I'm "what is it?" "A fork". So she was able to grab it and pull it out. I looked where she got if from and sure enough it was the heater vents under the seat. Thanks Gabby. Yes, I do occasionaly eat my eggs in the car on my way to Wednesday golf. I just didn't remeber taking a plate out of the backseat floor without a fork. Oh well, all is good again.
