Not getting "Sport"? on e92

is there anyone happy with NON sport? I would prefer sport, but don't like the tire options and cost of different sizes. If I lease, I don't want to buy a second set of rims.

Great seats, better steering wheel and the suspension is great, but those tires cost a bloody fortune to replace! If you lease, you gotta bring them back with run flats. I also hear you can't remount runflats.

Please, those under 30 years old need not reply.

BTW, Logic seven and Manual Tranny (with sport shifter) are the only options.

Got ZSP (sport package). Happy as a kid with an icecream cone on a hot sunny day.

I drove a 328i after, with just basic amenities...felt horrible compared to my E93... handling,feel/grip (not to mention it was an N52 vs N54 in my car)

getting the sports package just for the sake of having an oil cooler and neing able to hit 155mph vs 130mph is worth the price.

I had the same dilemma but luckily found a sport package 335i. I have ridden in my friend's non-sport e92, the suspension is softer and higher.

The seats and steering wheel are different, those were my deciding factors.

You sound like you have already made up your mind. Have you tried driving both yet? My opinion is that the ZSP option is worth it, even with the tire price point, but I dont lease...

As I recall, the E92 comes standard with the sport suspension. What you get with ZSP, are the seats, steering wheel, and tires.

?

All E92 come with the same sports suspention. E90 have different ones, but noe E92.

E92 has no oil cooler, is that true? Someone confirm this?

I thought the only difference is the poster above mentioned: seats, rims/tires, steering wheel and the option of shifter if you have steptronic.

Everything else is the same (limiter of 130mph), which seems to be NOT true, as I have hit 130-135mph once during an event just a couple months ago.

I have non ZSP, which I regret it very much!!! (for the seat)

But right now, I'd get the m-sport and not the ZSP....

Im doing fine with my non zsp.
but I'd love to have zsp...
there was only one manual car in my area when I was shopping for my car...otherwise I'd got the zsp.
now, you have another option which is the m-sport package.

the seat, the steeringwheel, the suspension, already worth the price.

then, get a set of winter tires, they won't cost you much. and you can use them for years

simple, speedo error

Unlike the e90, on the 2WD e92 suspension is "sport" regardless of whether you get ZSP or not. However ZSP will get you sport seats, sport wheel, 155mph limiter, 18 (or 19 optional beyond ZSP) wheels and oil cooler and it's WORTH IT.

For the cost of the runflats - which you'll have to replace unless you plan on driving very little over the course of your lease - you can easily get a good set of rims and tires. Throw the originals in the basement and use the second set until you need to return the lease.

Like posters said, ZSP on e92 has nothing to do with suspension. The only thing I've regretted and am getting is a nice thick m-sport steering wheel.

I didn't get the sport package on my 328, but overall I am still quite happy with the car in terms of handling, ride, etc. I did however upgrade to the optional 17" wheels. I do drive in a spirited manner whenever I can and I'm sure the sport package would have been even better in terms of handling than what I have now, but nonetheless I'm still happy with the car the way it is.

ZSP is the first the most important option. Unless you drive dirt roads all day. I highly recommend. M package is a luxury, but not necessity. ZSP is necessity.

335i without ZSP lacks grip in the back. I just returned a loaner with this setup. Sure it drives perfectly coasting on the highway, but as soon as I turn aggressively I can feel it.

imho all the usual issues aside (like suspension/wheels/tires) i hate the non-sport seats and would not get a car with the std seats.

i have the m sport as i hate the non m sport headliner.

EH I'm not 30 but I do not have ZSP. If you're not planning on modding your car then definately get it. For me, I didn't feel the need to spend an extra 1000 for wheels which I'm going to replace with aftermarket rims. Also the e92 suspension is the same with ZSP or non ZSP but I'm planning on getting BMW Performance suspension anyways. All I'm left with are the seats but I don't think 2500 for seats is really worth it.
