man, I should dust off my NTC3. It's got an OS 12 CV-R engine. Never ran the car or engine. I got hooked after my Inferno with 21 RG engine. Had to get a touring car after that. Do you know if they have E90/92 bodies yet. doubtful right?

I'm still using bullshit pull starters. Now that I can afford the hobby I should get back into it and convert them to use with starter boxes. Is this still the starter of choice? It's only been about 4 years since I left the hobby.

edit: oops, your not using nitro/gas are you? you could probably still answer the question i'm sure?

jongie - it's a few years old...the HPI RS4 Pro? full carbon chassis. Just picke dup a 19T Team Orion Spec motor, radio and electronics are old too, if i get back into this regularly, i'll get a newer updated chassis.

With a DC 4WD chassis, you can drift : http://video.google.fr/videoplay?doc...49&q=course+rc.

The only mod is electrical tape on the rear wheels and on 2/3 of the front wheels (on the exterior part of the tire).
I found that pretty impressive!

Pullstater is fine, if you're hardcore into racing or competiting then, starter box is the way to go, the lack of a pullstart gear will give you about 5% more on top end speed. However, as causal hobby run, I much rather go with pullstart and not deal with bringing the box, battery..etc. My HPI RS4 is also gathering dust, spent all the money getting ball bearings, 2 speed tranny and .12 OZ CV-X engine...that thing haul ass..imagine what it can do with a .15

Hello Foofighter . so that's a HPI Pro 1 chassis ? it's an 10 years old oldie hahah .
i have a Pro 2 , the second generation . i'd keep this car forever for the nice memories .cuz i won many races with it . have u ever tried a 10 turn motor in it ? the topspeed in the straight line would be amazing , around the 55 miles per hour , but first of all u have to install a stronger speedo . have fun with ur new 19 turn team orion . team orion and hpi have always been my favorite !
check www.hpiracing.com and get yourself the Pro 4 for ur birthday !

Thanks for the response. I love the convenience of pullstarters but they just aren't durable/reliable. Only snapped one so far but it's a pain in the ass to get back together. I'm looking forward to the use of starter boxes to re-introduce me into the hobby. Yes, full ball bearing replacement is money. Modding bug at its best.

0-60 numbers ?

with the new motor foofighter just purchased . i think the topspeed would be like 30 mph in 5 seconds with that m3 gtr body ? hahah
i used to test the topspeed with a little help from the boy next door .
when he was driving his motorcycle at a low speed then i let my toycar accelerate and keep up with him beside it . so after +/- 10 seconds , he could clock the topspeed . simple huh ?
years ago one time i used an 7 turn electric motor of GM Racing with a setting for a higher topspeed in straight line and a race carbody Chrysler/Dodge Stratus for fun , which means the acceleration had to suffer . after 15 seconds that little car reached ... alomost 70 mph if i can remember . man , that motor got hotttt after few runs ! expensive hobby is this , isn't it heheh .
