What do you do with OEM exhaust after an upgrade?
Hello,
I'm thinking of getting a new set of performance exhausts on my 335 coupe but am in a quandary. I have no idea what to do with or what is done with the original OEM exhausts. 1)I don't have enough space to store it. 2)I'm not in the mood to go to craigslist or ebay to sell it. So the question is: 1)Do the installers generally buy the OEM exhausts? 2)How much am I looking to ask for these OEM exhausts? A few hundred bucks? Any input would be appreciated. |

if you go with the BMW exhaust (not suggesting that you do) they'll clip 'em off at the rear of the car ---
and they'll fit in your closet if you wanna keep em (only kidding) |

I would try and sell it,as theres a few people that have to go back to stock for whatever reason.Like a leased car that someone has to return but wanted the sound for there lease time with a performance exhaust. You have an excellent chance of selling it on this site under the for sale section. You should get descent money for it also.

Selling something that weighs so much is going to such a pain...I guess Im trying to figure out if selling a set for $200-300 with a huge shipping cost will be worth it.

Keep it if possible...
If/when you sell your car, definitely put the stock exhaust back on because the typical person who will buy it won't give you crap for the aftermarket exhaust (might even cost you the sale). Plus the resell on used parts is pretty good so you will get a chunk of your money back. |

I left mine at the shop. No point selling a 328i exhaust/pipes that have 27k miles on it. No sense in keeping it since my new exhaust is the BMW prefromance one.

I have mine in the garage as I've found when the time comes its easier to sell a stock car than a modded one, and the mods will sell easily on a forum like this.
