Door lock actuator?
Hi
i have just bought a 2006 330i E90. i bought this car with the driver's side door lock not operating properly, sometimes you can hear the motor trying to pull the lock down but it fails. i have just relocked the car with the remote and the driver's door lock made a strange sound, like a gear jumping out of the 'teeth' and it remained in the 'up' position. do you think it is the driver's side door lock actuator please? the car has only done 40k kms. regards, |

Hard to tell which door actuator is failing according to BMW tech that I have talked to. I know that sound that you talked about. Happen to me twice. First time dealer warranty, second time, it fixed itself before I plan to fix it myself.
For temporary fix, check for blown fuse and some have even mention using a higher amp fuse. Search is your friend as this is a common issue with the early model e90.

hmmmmm worth a try before taking the door card apart.
i am almost convinced it is something mechanical because i could see the door lock actually trying to go down, so you think it could be a fuse? thanks |
