Disgrace to E90 drivers - HK BOY

Just wanted to express my dissatisfaction towards a fellow E90 330i driver today on the highway. You know who you are.

Such aggressive driving and lack of respect for the speed limit and other road users is a disgrace to other E90 owners.

Shame.

No accident ... but I was tailgated for a long stretch of the highway and when he took over during a section of dual carriageway, he stepped on the brakes in front of me to give me attitude.

Such act is definitely insulted the brand name of Bimmer......Should we 335 members united to indentify this common target in our daily drive and then, give him the same treatment? Perhaps, this is just not the way to handle such disrepectful Bimmer driver in our homeland!!

It happened to me the same situation. It was a Benz CLK 230 or 240. The drivers took the break in front of me for few times. I was so pissed and I followed him, then I called the police.

That was the route where I saw him as well. I guess he hasn't learned any manners. Sigh. What a disgrace.

Run him off the road... people who drive fast think they got mad skills. All you need to do is just nudge your car in his direction and he'll freak out.

Such assholes are quite common in HK, almost everytime I drive here, there must be some (usually second-rate civic or camry) that somehow MUST tailgate and pass you at 100 km. I usually just ignore them (not worth the trouble since any race could potentially damage my car, not to mention the danger pose to other road users).

I think this reflect not just the driver's lack of common courtesy but also their insecurity. They have a small dick or get yelled at by their bosses or whatever, then take out their frustration on the road. By their aggressive driving, they shows their inferiority. Driving fast in heavy traffic does not prove they are superior, but only show evidence of their stupidity.

REAL bmw drivers by contrast, have no need to "show" their superiority. They have full confidence in their cars and their capability. I drive at reasonable speeds not because I like to drive slow, but because I am confident. It is those reckless morons driving without a care in the world that lack confidence and judgment.

Remember, any darn fool can drive fast, but only those drivers that really know their cars can drive slow.

Wolfman> totally agree with your comments... but I would also like to add when I drive on the left lane at the speed limit on dual carriageways (70 or 80km/h), I am almost always tailgated by van, private bus, lorry and truck drivers... especially at night when I am not in a rush to go anywhere, just enjoying a relaxing drive and keeping to the speed limit... basically doing the 'right' thing!!

Is there something wrong with me, the speed limit or the tailgaters???!!!

@N52B30
The truckers have to deliver goods to certain point by certain time, so having them speed is understandable to an extent. But, if they are in such a hurry, they should take the overtake lane. Another regular speeding vans are the cross-border vans to Shenzhen and beyond. Again, they have pressing time commitments to deliver certain goods at fixed time.

However, neither cases are entirely convincing. Regular excess speeding by these vehicles indicate a flagrant breach of the law ( I am not talking about a mere 5 or 10km over the limit, which I myself drive at, but somewhere in the order of 50-60km over, which I've seen on the Highway). In other words, having to rely on routine illegal speeding to conduct business is no different then conducting criminal business, since you are relying on the breaking of the law to carry out your affairs.

Saw HK BOY again this morning entering the Tsim Sha tunnel Shatin-bound ... he must have been doing ~ 140km/h going uphill ... zoomed past me. Such reckless driving really gives the E90 crowd a bad name ...

People who drive at crazy speeds in HK usually have an illegal radar detector attached to their vehicle, otherwise they would have lost their licence a long time ago!! The police can charge HK BOY with another offence if he ever gets caught red handed!!

Anyway, I believe HK BOY's "good luck" will run out some time, either getting caught or getting involved in a serious accident (at the expense of other innocent road users).
