Air always directed at the windshield?
I've noticed that my 335 always directs a fair amount of air up through the windshield vents when the climate control is on. Even if I put the climate control in manual mode and only have air directed at my face, air still comes out of the vents on the top of the dash (next to the center speaker). This is actually annoying because it can cause condensation to form on the windshield if I have the AC on long enough. This problem does not occur on the two smaller vents aimed at the side windows. Air only comes out of those vents if I set the climate control to direct air at the windshield.
Does anybody know if our cars are supposed to do this? I searched the owner's manual and wasn't about to find anything related to this. |

I would book an appointment with my local BMW and have it looked at. As long you have your ultimate warranty you must maximize your benefits. My car also has condensation problems, not sure what causes it, maybe I should have my car checked as well. Good luck!

Mine does it a tiny bit in the early am depending on the weather. Not enough for me to even complain about. It is pretty dry here so I'm sure that helps. I'm sure turning on the A/C for a few seconds clears it up. I have seen it as well with no air on at all, everything off, no air coming out of those dash vents.. I always thought it was heat from the engine hitting the cold window or something. It seems to always be on the turbo side of the engine in front of the cabin air filter right side.
