If you have a car with the factory alarm system is there a audible beep when you lock/unlock the car?

apparently it depends on how they program the system... they can set it to beep or not

If you have iDrive you can set it yourself from the Vehicle Settings menu.

one beep for " LOCKED "

two beeps for " UNLOCKED ".

easy way to remember for me is locked is 1 syllable (1 beep),

and unlocked is 2 syllables ( 2 beeps).
