Hard to tell from that pic. If it is still like that after 5 days, I would bring it back / see what the installer says. I do not have any lines like that.

Yes, i have. In fact its been three days. I can accept the matrix dots.
but that line is very disturbing. It's not looking smooth when you stare at the car.

give it 3-4 more days and if it doesn't disappear take it back to the shop and they should fix it or just put a new one on since most tint shops come with a lifetime warranty.

theres a black ceramic edge on the front of that quarter window. like a dot matrix, but not dots. its raised above the surface of the glass just like the dot matrix, so there will be a line. it would be really hard to get rid of it. just like all the lines around the defroster lines.

I have an e90 and there is no line on mine. Perhaps the installer didn't bring the tint far enough forward?
If I had that line, it would definitely bother me...take it back and address your concerns with the installer as I am sure they will make good on it.

It is a natural defect from the ceramic edge on the glass. You'll see similar lines on your back window.

its the tint job.
most guys blame it on the car saying the car came with ceramic edges and nothing can be done about them.

i have similar bad spots on rear window at some spots which annoys me further as to why the whole window didn't get it.

I have seen some of friends cars which were well done at a different tint shop.
