Ticking Sound When Using the JB3 Lagfix Maps? Not Anymore
I worked with Terry to come up with a solution to fix the ticking sound that people were having with the wastegates.
Recently people were finding that when using the lagfix maps on the JB3 and other tunes, there would be the wastegate rattle during idle and deceleration. When using the non lagfix maps, the rattling would go away. The non lagfix maps work the same as the stock configuration, but the lag fix maps close the wastegate more at idle and deceleration. This is why the ticking happens because the wastegate is closed so much that it rattles against the seal. I came up with an adjustment that anyone could make for the rear wastegate, but this is only if the ticking is happening with the non lagfix maps or during the stock maps. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...6269&highlight The ticking would have nothing to do with the performance or anything of the sort, but it is very irritating. Before, if people were experiencing the rattling, then they would have to resort to the non lagfix maps. Now, there is no issue with both. I just wanted to comment on this to reitterate that these new JB3 maps work because I know that there are a lot of people out there that experience this issue. The map can be found here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=277850
