OEM BMW Performance Auto Shift Knob Installed
There is a new option for us Automatic owners, a BMW Performance Auto Shift Knob. Details here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=242330
Here are some pics after installing it this morning. My impression is that it is a bit thicker, as you can see in the photos, and the leather grain is smoother than stock on the boot. I think it looks pretty nice and goes very well with the aluminum trim. RE: Install. It is super easy. I just put the car in Neutral pulled up on the old shifter and it came out easily. Then you just pinch the boot out, also simple. You don't need a DIY for this, it is so simple. Just pull and off you go.

Tischer site says this is still a "pre-order". Where did you get this from??

I bought it from Tischer. I pre-ordered and waited about 3 weeks. It arrived this morning.

What type of leather is on your shift boot OP? Looks different from mine. Looks like it actually matches the new shift knob.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I went out of lunch and it looks and feels very nice. Definitely a nice, easy mod.
Yes the shift boot is a separate item you can buy that matches the new knob. Total price for both items from Tischer right now is $185 (includes shipping) Quote:
