Beta Testers: Are you still on your stock battery?

Hows your 2006 E9X holding up? I'm at 60K+ and some times I get a slow start.

Seems like I got a lot of use out of my battery...time to replace.

My battery was replaced at 3K miles. Apparently, it had a dead cell and wouldn't hold a charge. The replacement they put in at the dealer was checked and it was a bad battery as well, but luckily, they found that out before they gave the car back to me.

PO replaced it with an Interstate. Not sure why they didn't get it done under warranty with an OEM battery. My car has 50k miles.

My E90 is a April '06 build. Delivered on May 22, 2006. I'm at 85,000 miles. Still on the original battery. I also have a 1999 Ford F-150 with 93,000 miles still on the original Motorcraft battery (the battery out lasted the exhaust manifolds). And I have a 1999 Honda Valkyrie Interstate (motorcycle) with 55,000 miles still on the original battery (I keep it on a Tender in the winter).

I guess I have good battery karma...

Mine was also an 4/06 build, maybe my battery isn't as long lasting as I thought...

I only priced out one battery so far froma local speed shop, an Interstate I think for $150.00

E90 still has the original battery 111k miles, E46 died at 6 years and 130k miles.

Assuming you have a good battery to start with and you drive your car enough to keep it charged it should last at least 5 years here in Cali.

I am so glad to see you guys are still keeping your car way over the warranty period. I guess if you drive it alot, the battery will last longer.
