Been gone for a month, what should I expect?
I'm on vacation for summer at the moment and I parked my car in my garage and it's just been sitting there for about a month. What should I expect when I get back? Will there be a lot of rust on my brakes? Will it affect my brakes stopping distance? If there is anything I should check out, please tell me.

As long as it didn't rain, then you don't have to worry about that big whopping Zinc Paint stain on your car. (i've had that happen to me after i came back from a vacation, to find the paint stripped off one part of my old car because of the zinc that dripped onto it)

Welcome back! You will certainly find that this forum will bore you to tears like never before. I swear after the loss of methodtim and canucklion and a few other unmentioned SOBs, the entertainment value around here has become nonexistent. All that's left is unchecked bragging, reposted questions, and negativity about quality and not getting a loaner from the dealership....
...oh, and your car should be fine! |

Car will be fine. Don't worry.
Next time pump up the tires to 50 psi (helps keep tires from getting flat spots) and run a battery tender so you don't have to worry about a dead battery. Any rust on the rotors will come flying off when you stomp on the stop pedal. Have another mojito and relax...... |

pfff my 335i got dropped off at a shipment center then put on a truck so it could go to brunswick then on a boat to germany then to a vpc. That will take 2 months. I have done that twice with 0 problems, just some dust.

Your car might tell you that your oil levels are low. But drive around on it for a few minutes and you should be fine. My car did that when I was out on business for 1 month.

I left mine for 2 weeks in late March and the audio settings were lost - all of them. Weird and only happened once. The battery was fine.
In your case, check for mice and ants upon return. They like dry warm hard-to-reach areas. |

I would've put the car on the sheet of styrofoam to eliminate the possibility of getting flat areas on the tires.
But then, it's only a month so you should be fine. |

The car might tick louder than Big Ben when you start it. You can neutralize the issue by putting the car in park. And revving up to 3,000 RPM for 5 minutes.

I rented a storage garage to leave mine in for a month over winter break. I was worried my battery might be dead or something, but when I got back everything worked fine. No noticeable difference in power or performance from the day I left it. It was in AZ, though, so no significant moisture around. As long as your garage is water-tight, I wouldn't worry.
