335i Convertible pickup today! Damn.

So after months of deciding what I wanted to do and countless configurations, I picked up my e93 today. So cool. Coral on black. I've been youtubeing this car for quite some time. There's only a couple black and red youtube videos out there. I'll get into a full review after this weekend. Planning on driving a lot. It just so happens I've taken off work until Monday. Hmmm... what should I do, maybe drive? Here's a couple quick iPhone shots at the dealer. Serious Canon shot's tomorrow. LOVE THIS CAR.

i was gonna get a red int but they didn't have any white on reds, only black on reds :/

but I'm still happy with my white on black

you're gonna be annoyed at times since you're slower than the coupes, but you'll be envied cause you got the top down :P hehe

6MT of course. I've had one auto tranny. Didn't hate it, but didn't love it either. That was on an '02 325i I drove for a few years. Dull. I'll take an old fashioned "row it yourself" box any day. Time to update my sig.

Is it too soon for a first impression of this car? Picked it up about 36 hours ago. Perfect timing for a first impression. All things aside, the engine is PHENOMENAL. All you 335 owners already know this, but I'm pretty floored and I haven't even gunned it yet. Can't wait to get out of the break in miles. Drove about 200 miles today. What a car. Coming from my 330i it's nice and familiar, but it's a BIG upgrade. The top is just fantastic. 2 cars in one really. I'm a huge convertible guy. Love to be part of my surroundings. Nothing does that like a drop top. So when winter comes back it's a coupe. Too cool.

iDrive: 2 words, huge improvement. Nice and fast now. Way better navigation. Ipod integration is nice. Seems like a much more useful option now.

Something I didn't expect was the much better ride quality. No more slamming over every road imperfection. I'm pretty sure it's the 3 years of improvements to the run flats. The suspension should be pretty much the same.

That's it for tonight. Hope to get some real nice shots of it tomorrow. I'll get out the good camera.
