E93 Convert Roof problem
hi I am driving a 335i Conv E93 2008 , my roof is closed, but keeps on giving me indication on the dash screen that "roof is not latched". and now my windows can not open or close and my trunk cant open without the key's I don’t care about using my roof any more, how and what can i do so that i can just operate my windows and trunk again?? Can any one please give me advice? Thanks.

yes
yes thanks for the replay, if i play around with the button and the sensor switches in the trunk, it starts opening, but is completely confused. the sequence is also out. so that why i don’t want to use the roof any more, and just want control back over my windows and trunk.

sounds like the roof sequence needs to be reset. I'm not sure if it's something that you can do yourself or you have to bring to a dealer. Hopefully a Tech will chime in on this for you

sorry dude, I don't know what to tell you except take it to the dealer.......did you check the trunk to see if there's anything sitting on either side? You know, the area near the wheel-wells where you're "not supposed to put anything on".....? Also, I know this is gonna sound retarded, but try driving over a bit of a bump......I had a weird problem with my roof once after having my suspension installed, and when I drove over a bump, it corrected itself!

is your car not sitting on a level driveway?
i had a little issue once when i was on a bit of a sideways slant, and the car frame may have been twisted just a bit and then it didnt latch properly. just a thought

Do a quick search, someone posted the roof reset which involved unplugging and replugging the control modules one of each side of the car behind the backseat - maybe disconnecting the battery for a while would do the same thing, not sure, but if you have warranty still, I wouldn't screw around and just have the dealer fix it.

Red light down means the top still thinks it is in transition. Most likely a bumped hall sensor which would be a trip to the dealer unless you can trouble shoot and check every sensor for location against another E93...

This might help you locate the sensors.
